a hard one but one in which i think exemplifies how  mental health and social supports and every aspect of life can domino effect to a dark place. i truly felt for charlie so many times and she brings to words some really hard feelings. i have qualms w the love interest and charlie and the decisions she makes, but in the way that teenage girlhood is misguided and painful. survival is hard and requires giving yourself grace when you feel you deserve it the least, and that is a huge takeaway from this book. many trigger warnings that should be taken into account before reading.
