The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe

5.0

I love Edgar Allan Poe, and this may be one of my favourite short stories he wrote. The constant tension in the story, the settings, the subtle ambiguity of the events in the story... All of those are wonderful. It's short enough to be read in one sitting but doesn't feel rushed, and it's filled with foreshadowings and elements allowing us to have different interpretations, from the most rational to the most extravagant.
A must-read.
