Nice rollercoaster read. Veronica is having an affair with her husband’s best friend Mitch.
She is doing it as revenge (also in a warped sense of justification not to divorce him)
Her husband discovers a missing child on his usual morning walks and the life she wants to keep private is blown open by the media.
Although I suspected the twist at the end, it still was nice going through the motions with the characters.
