Fable
by Adrienne Young
Fave Line: “Down here, we were only two mortals in an upside-down world. The only world where I’d ever belonged.”
Genre: YA Fantasy
Synopsis:
Fable is abandoned as a child by her father to fend for herself on an island all alone. She dredges for treasures in the ocean and sells them to buy her passage to Cero where she hopes to reunite with her dad.
Along the way she meets people who try to take her and her new crew mates down, but they work together to push to get her back with her dad. Once seeing him things don’t go as planned and she must fight to get what is rightfully hers.
Rating:
4.5/5 ⭐️s
I love a book with a strong, independent female protagonist and that is everything Fable embodies. I also really enjoyed the relationship that the crew on the Marigold had and how well they worked together as a family. Now I MUST read the next book because of the cliffhanger at the end…
