Emma by Alexander McCall Smith
3.0

Neither I have read McCall Smiths' work nor have I been able to read the original Emma.
So, I have no reference point but I am taking the book for what it is- a light summery read.
There are a lot of characters and all of them are pretty well chalked out.
The plot is quite predictable in some ways but still, there are a few things to keep you hooked on till the end.It is readable and witty although it seems kind of dragged in places.
But, it won't come in the way of your enjoyment for the largest part.
