This one didn't work for me unfortunately. I really enjoyed Autumn, but Winter's puzzle I couldn't solve. It felt too fragmented; some fragments were good, others I didn't enjoy as much. Autumn is also fragmented, but somehow it's more digestible and comes together nicely.
Winter is very bleak. The angry Brexit novel quoting Trump. There's something grumpy and a bit rambling about it, and somethings I-told-you-so about it, and something almost condescending about it. As if to say "Look at the state of the world and this country! Of course peopel like you made it so!" It's just my impression, though. I understand how big this issue is.
Autumn forms a full, complete picture easily for me, Winter not so much. Still, there's a lot to admire about it, and, as I said, there are parts of it I enjoyed.
