I sat on the edge of my seat for most of the book, feeling the tension that something bad was going to happen, but unable to stop devouring page after page.

This book is heartwarming, heartbreaking and yet ridiculously funny. One moment my eyes filled with tears, and the next I was laughing out loud. You don't get a minute of peace.

There are so many things that I loved about this book, that I could talk for hours. But here I'm going to focus only on two of them:

1- Johnny, Gibsie & Mammy K's comedy show
All three of them are wonderful characters who give soul and life to this story. But everytime that they had a scene together it was pure magic. Incredibly fun. I would read an entire book about Edel Kavanagh (aka Mammy K) any day of the year. And Johnny + Gibsie relationship is what bromance is all about.

2- Joey Lynch, my wounded and tormented hero
I don't know, but I'm honestly heartbroken by Joey's suffering. He has a fierce devotion to his siblings and such an unfair load of responsibility on his shoulders that at one point I stoped worring so much about Johnny and Shannon, and all I could think about was him.
I need someone to save him.

Joey's book is not just the only thing that I want, but also the only thing that I need (and Gibsie's too, of course).

I love this book like a crazy fucking amount. And these characters can bulldoze in my life at any time.
