⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Gripping, Fast-Paced, and Unexpectedly Clever
Lion & Lamb is a highly entertaining thriller that delivers exactly what you'd expect from a James Patterson novel. quick chapters, sharp dialogue, and a twisty plot that keeps the pages turning. The unique pairing of the characters, a defence: (Cooper Lamb) private investigator and for prosecution (veena Lion) an attorney, makes for an engaging dynamic that injects humor and tension throughout the story.
The murder mystery at the center is cleverly constructed, with just enough red herrings to keep you guessing without becoming overly convoluted. Patterson's signature style short, punchy chapters makes this a perfect weekend read or a great book to get you out of a reading slump.
Why not five stars? While the plot is thrilling, some of the character development feels a bit shallow, and a few twists rely more on convenience than logic. Still, it’s an enjoyable ride with a satisfying conclusion.
Lion & Lamb is clever, fast, and a fun solid thriller that fans of Patterson and a crime fiction in general will appreciate.
