Craving by Helen Hardt
1.0

I read Craving, like many others, after seeing a Facebook ad claiming it's better than Fifty Shades, which I actually liked. It also has a high average rating. (I made so many judgement errors here..)

Zero storyline
Zero character development
Zero connection
Zero believable passion with zero build-up
Zero relationship progression
Repetitive writing: ex) granite, walls, demons, white tank top, slammed. The same descriptions were used over, and over.
Talon Steel? It's hard to take that name seriously.
Even Jade's ex fiancé stares at her chest before speaking to her? Snooze. Ok. She has big boobs.

The twist (abuse) was too much tragedy, description, and detail for a character that is underdeveloped - it led me to believe it was there for shock value.

As always, a consensual relationship is one thing (do what you and your partner want), but I hate glorification of the "poor male" who was abused, so he can do whatever he wants to the doormat female.
(grab violently, yell, rape, etc.)

No.
