I wasn’t sure if I was going to love this one because I didn’t have the best feelings towards Nesta going into it, but WOW it was SO GOOD! Don’t get me wrong, Nesta’s character continued to anger and annoy me in this story too, but seeing her character growth throughout the course of this book was everything and so beautiful to see! Comparing her character from the beginning of this book—completely broken—to her character by the end—allowing herself to heal surrounded by her mate and family—really shows how far she came. I did feel like this book was definitely more character-driven than plot-driven like most of the previous books, but I really enjoyed it and I think it was needed for Nesta’s story to really see/feel her development!
I have been dying for Nesta and Cassian since the previous books where their tension was off the charts and wow…they DID NOT disappoint. Especially with the spice🔥🔥 While they don’t take my top spot, which is reserved for Rhys and Feyre, I still loved them to pieces! I also loved the relationship between Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie. It was one of my favourite things in this book. I just loved them and the bond they formed together. They definitely played a big part in Nesta’s healing.
I was so hooked in the last 150 pages and completely binged read it to the end. There was so much going on and my emotions were really going through it! The sacrifice Nesta made for Feyre, Rhys and Nyx had me in tears. It was beautiful to finally see Nesta openly showing love for her sister.
I am dying to get my hands on the next book…SJM please write fast🙏🏼
