Highlands Christmas by Amy Quick Parrish
4.0
After her husband tells her he's found someone else, Melissa receives correspondence stating she's inherited a property in Scotland. Perfect timing, right??
She does what any sensible wronged woman would do - she boards a plane to live in her new home. Along the way, she meets a handsome Scotsman who happens to be her soon-to-be-ex's lawyer, falls in love with the country, and meets a group of people who become a second family.
Highlands Christmas was an adorable story about a woman rediscovering herself after her husband cheats and wants a divorce. It's very Hallmark-level sweet, and you'll swoon every time Melissa and Colin interact. I loved how confident Melissa was in the foreign country, and easily Colin's family accepted her and took her in.
There's even a surprise appearance at the end!!
This book is a wonderful quick read if you're looking for a romantic fix with little to no angst.
Thank you, NetGalley and Amy Quick Parrish, for the opportunity to read it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
