French Milk by Lucy Knisley

2.0

My main take-away from this will be the various museums, shops, markets and restaurants that I would love to visit when/if I ever make it to Paris (for more than just one night)...and of course I will have to try the French milk! I only gave this book 2 stars (which by the way is not a bad rating, it means "it was ok") because I had a difficult time relating to Lucy ... she really did seem out of sorts on this trip and yes, I've been there too especially when I was closer to 22 than I am now, but I didn't really get a sense of growth from her experience. The back of the book claims to give me "a moving, personal look at a mother-daughter relationship" but I didn't really get that through this book. I felt like mom was very secondary. I felt more connected to them both in Relish which I did enjoy very much.
