I had no idea that when I picked up this book I was not just signing up to read a Rom-Com but also put myself through a therapy session. The slow burn between Scottie and Wilder is absolutely worth waiting for. The summer camp setting is clever and the unique cabins at the camp were incredibly creative. The comedy comes hard throughout the story, and the therapy sessions felt so important not just for the characters but also for the readers. The emphasis on healthy communication is very real and there were several moments when Scottie was able to put my own experiences and needs into words better than I ever did. The narration by Erin Mallon, Teddy Hamilton, and Stephen Dexter was fantastic. They really brought the characters to life. I would highly encourage anyone who enjoys contemporary romance to read this story. Especially if you like a grumpy/sunshine match up.
