I’ve wanted more of Xhinna ever since she became a blue rider, and I got it! Nice to have multiple main characters who are explicitly queer (note I don’t mean detailed sex scenes, just that their identity isn’t left as a matter of subtext). The new way they found of fighting Thread was fascinating, but this is the problem with prequels—clearly it had been abandoned or at least not recorded by the time of other books, and the reason for that seemed very thin.
