thank you, roald dahl, for making me think things could go terribly wrong every 20 pages and then having things go absolutely fine 90% of the time. i appreciated my cynicism and fear of worst case scenarios being proved wrong via a book about witches that are bald and have no toes and always wear gloves to hide their talons.
