Pris (Christine) and Tagger’s story includes everything I want to see in a good romance. It has a hot single dad, Tagger, who has history with the sassy female rancher, Pris, and a forbidden romance (his best friend and her brother has forbade him to romance his sister), as well as the sweetest little boy who effortlessly melts hearts. Add in his ex who is fighting Tagger constantly on custody issues and the fact that he lives in New York City while she lives in Texas, and it’s obvious that they have a great deal to sort out in order to be together. Both acknowledge their different lives in locations more than a thousand miles apart, but there is just something between that is impossible to ignore, a soul deep connection and a yearning neither can deny, even to themselves. Their story is angsty, entertaining and a tad complicated, with plenty of spice, drama and self-reflection to make it unputdownable.
This captivating book has my wholehearted recommendation.
