Would be interesting to read a Catholic’s perspective on achieving perfect ‘egolessness and purposelessness’ in perfecting an art while rooting oneself in Christ and surrendering one’s will. Catholicism applies a completely different lexicon; achieving perfect mental prayer and communing with the Lord leads one closer to becoming totally human in all pursuits, rather than leaving the body and the mind behind in search of a higher way of being.
