Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen

4.0

I’ve read my fair share of rock musicians autobiographies over the years and this one was pretty darn good. I have to admit that I haven’t really heard much of his music outside of the Born in the USA album, but that’s about to change! This book was refreshingly honest, especially about his mental illness. It wasn’t just filled with sexual exploits and drug/alcohol use like most of the books I read. It also didn’t bore me with a lot of technical musical details. His writing is both full of heart, determination and honesty. All in all it was a great read and I can recommend it even if you are not technically a fan.
