Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

5.0

Everyone has secrets. Some more than others.

-Jane moves to Pirriwee Peninsula for some mysterious reason. She moves with her son Ziggy who’s dad is out of the picture. Jane’s secretive about him and you just have to wonder who was he? And what did he to do Jane?

-Madeline has three kids with Abigail, her oldest, being from another marriage. Abigail has been acting up; being a teenager some would say. But it’s a secret project of hers that brings unwanted attention to the family. And to Madeline, that just won’t do.

-Celeste is beautiful, rich, with a seemingly perfect life. She has twin boys Max and Josh. And a husband who is never around. But life isn’t perfect and neither are marriages. What secret is she hiding?

Big Little Lies centers around these women and how they try to juggle home life and school life. For at a school like Pirriwee Public, everyone has a secret to hide. And it’s one of those many secrets that lead to someone’s death. I’ve been meaning to read this book for a while and I flew through it. I like how it was written with each woman’s point of view so we could see how they were coping with everything going on. The extra bit of information offered during the interview process was a pleasant surprise. So happy I finally read it!
