I put like half of this book in my favorite book quotes note. Powerful, infuriating, relatable… this book put into words many of the thoughts I’ve had, and also things I haven’t been able to put into words. I feel like I learned and grew alongside Alicia. And I loved that it was in verse. It’s sad that most women can probably viscerally relate to her repetitive comparison of men to wolves.
“Why when it comes to girls and wolves do we let our brains look for reasons why she deserved to be prey before we notice his fangs?”
