So You Want to Talk About Race
by Ijeoma Oluo
I don't want to say a lot here, as I'm still processing, but this was a very valuable read. This really makes you think, even as someone who tries to be conscious already there were definitely times in this book where it pushed my boundaries and made me go ouch. Exactly as it should. This is a problem that we need to address in the minutia of our daily actions not just as a broad generalization, and then need to address again and again.
I really appreciate the directness of the writing, it pulls no punches and illuminates the many facets of the systemic racism alive in our country. There's ever more work to be done.
