Friends Don't Lie by Cath Weeks

3.0

The reason why I never read thrillers is mainly because I'm hard to thrill. I always end up knowing who did what and why and by the time I get to the middle of the book, I'm already bored.
I had the chance to read Friends Don't Lie before its publishing day - it rarely happens - and to be honest with you all - or whoever is reading this short review - I thought about DNFing it straight away. The first few pages are a little bit boring and I found it quite confusing to understand all the family dynamics - who married who and who's kids we're talking about? - but I persisted and I'm thankful I made that decision because this book was great.

These characters couldn't be more different and some of them - okay, just one - were a true pain in the ass but it was so intricate and it gave me that FOOLED YA! effect I really really like in thrillers.

If you're thinking about reading it, please do it. Don't just stop at the first few pages but keep reading, it's totally worth it!!

Now, we all know I hate spoiler reviews but seriously, that Melissa was so annoying and on everyone's case except her own. I hate those kinds of people...
