ngl it was rough start with me and this book but i still cried at the end 
i think some of the ways women were described could've been handled a lot better but other than that it was a heartbreaking story of addiction and family and i just wanted to take shuggie from all this and protect him but alas

this quote won't leave me alone, it's just so ugh i'm gonna break down sobbing
"So if your body doesn't go to heaven, it doesn't matter if another boy did something bad to it in a bin shed, right?"
