Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
3.0

Well... I chose to pick this up many years after having to read it at school to see if I like it any better now.

It sure has some strong points, such as
- showing how people like to talk endlessly and build up or tear down others' reputations, no matter what age or country
- giving a strong example of how easy it is to misunderstand an introvert in an extrovert's world
- building up different versions of romance/romantic relationships

But in the end, as far as the events go, it's just people going to the houses of other people and talking to each other, plus I feel like the whole thing could have been half as long, if even that... All things considered, I'd give it a 3 for literary significance and the genuinely good aspects that still make it a beloved read of many even after all these years. I won't deny that Jane Austen was clearly on to something.
