I had so much fun reading this book. I don't think I am capable of comprehensively talking about how much I loved this story, but I am going to talk about it anyway.
This book had everything that I could have ever wanted from a fantasy book. The plot centered around around a wild adventure taken on by a band of misfits which, due primarily to age, were vastly under qualified. There was wonderfully built world with it's own religion, politics and history that were introduced seamlessly into the story. There was also quite a bit of action sequences that were fun to read and included the perfect amount of banter between characters. There was a quite a bit of humor, that may not be for everyone, but that I thoroughly enjoyed. The most important thing to me though was the characters and the bonds they shared. The men that this story centered on were far from prefect people, which made them interesting and entertaining to follow. The relationship between the band members, strained as it was, captured me completely. I was not only rooting for them to succeed, but I was genuinely invested in seeing them come back together as a team. I am so glad that I picked this book up and I am excited to pick up Bloody Rose, hopefully soon.
