I was absolutely delighted to be able to get the opportunity to re read The Railway Children. There are so many books from my childhood that I have very fond memories of so was very interested to see what I would think reading this book now as an adult.
If possible I think I loved this book even more. This really is such a timeless classic that generations of people can read and enjoy.
Reading The Railway Children transported me back to my childhood. It raised so many emotions in me. Even though I’ve read the book before and obviously knew what happens, it didn’t spoil my enjoyment whatsoever, if anything it felt like coming back home to family reading it.
If you haven’t ever had the opportunity to read this book then I highly recommend it. Even if you have read it, believe me, I think you will enjoy it even more reading it second time round.
