I give this a 3.5 it was a 5 until the author gave the girl NO FUCKING BACKBONE AT ALL. didn't let him try to win her back after everything he did to her. she just forgave him literally the moment he opened his fucking mouth. like if she had a backbone then it would've been a 4. the author didn't make him seem like he couldn't even possibly change for her. I mean he was still looking at other bitches tits and being flirty even if it was a intimidation tactic... didn't let her b friends with hannah or anything. if she changed that part it would've been a 5 star but he was an OVERALL POS. and I usually love me a morally grey/pitch black guy. but idk he did absolutely nothing for me. the story was great. but I do not like dare not even a little bit. this book was not romantic. and I love a fucking dark romance.
I saw a comment on tiktok asking from a scale from 1-10 how much is he like zade and somebody answered a 10 but through the whole book... BITCH WHERE!???? BITCH FUCKING WHERE!??? he is not even remotely close to zade not even on the same planet NOT EVEN THE SAME FUCKING UNIVERSE. zade was sweet he cared deeply about her and wanted to make her his but also make her happy and protect her. dare doesn't actually give a fuck about aubrey he cares about himself. he literally changed everything about aubrey just so she could fit into his world the way she dresses he hair and all. zade not once did that. zade made himself fit into addie's world he stopped doing shit to make her happy. even when she wasn't around.
all ima say if if you find this man date attractive that's cool but if you are swooning over him! SEEK REAL LIFE HELP. I love me a crazy mfr. but this man is just ew. I hate his guts. this book pissed me off so bad at the end I almost DNF it at like 80% just bc the bitch had no fucking BACKBONE!
if you can't tell I fucking hated this book but loved the story line only if she changed how aubrey reacted and didn't take him back and made him beg and if he actually would change. not b a perfect fucking person but not continue to manipulate her even at the very end like he did.. it would've been a 5 star but nope it's a 2.5... scratch that it's a 2.2 tbh I wanna give it a 1 but I genuinely liked the story.
