We are back in the little coffee shop of Kabul for a final goodbye before the American military departed from Afghanistan.
When Sunny comes back to visit for a final time, the coffee shop family all rejoice in her return and catch her up on the changes in their lives.
There is indecisiveness as the rumours the T*bn are coming back, which leads to chaos as they descend on Kabul. It's a frantic race for Sunny and Candace to leave Kabul, but also to take the coffee shop family with them.
As always, this is a great, at times, uplifting story, where characters and places, both based on real people and places, transport the reader to a fascinating place, where we can feel love for their beautiful country.
