My mother-in-law made me read this. She and I don't normally see eye-to-eye on books (see: the one and only Danielle Steel book on my list; The Davinci Code) but this was actually an excellent book. Compelling characters, a plot that keeps you reading even though you know the end. Tried reading her other stuff but it was pretty bad.
