I love all of JP Delaney’s books. There’s nothing particularly wrong with Playing Nice. I just think the topic rubs me the wrong way. For majority of the book you have that feeling of no matter how good of a person you are or how hard you try, the system is fucked and you can still get fucked and have everything taken away and that is something that really bothers me. It’s a unique concept, well written and suspenseful and makes you really worry (but maybe too well).
