I normally don’t read a lot of historical fiction, but I thought this was a heartfelt and time bending love story that brought me to tears at the end. Anne and Thomas’s story was so sweet and pure, proving that love can overcome time always. There was heartbreak in the midst of the Irish War of Independence that made the story have an urgency and plot twists that were truly unexpected and interesting. I read this for a book club and am so glad that I did.
