Queenslayer by Sebastien de Castell

5.0

Definitely the most complex book in the series so far, QUEENSLAYER continues Kellen’s adventures as he continues to confront who and what he is, all while getting wrapped up in political machinations where no one can be trusted.

As always, I loved this book. Kellen continues to be a flawed character who is neither too good or too evil. He makes difficult and selfish choices as readily as honest ones. I really enjoyed his arc in this story and am wondering how it will round out.

New side characters were introduced, and each one brought in a new layer of tension when it became clear that no one could be trusted.

Despite this being a more political heavy book, there were a great deal of stakes and twists. I never knew what was going to happen until the very end.

I’m deeply invested in this series and can’t wait for the explosive conclusion!
