3.5 Typical Mansell, with a main couple surrounded by appealing secondary characters, all of whose love lives are intertangled. By book's end, of course, everyone's all sorted, happy in a heterosexual relationship. Threads about death, depression, and suicide attempts give darker shades to the lighthearted goings-on.
