The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee
3.25
Naturally, it was good. I liked the story, love the characters. Something about it just didn’t click as well for me.
I did just read Immortality, which also has a girl in the late 18th/early 19th century, wanting to become a surgeon. Immortality was AMAZING, and reading those books back to back didn’t help.
I LOVED the first one, it remains one of my favorite books to this day, and I think the difference is that there just wasn’t very much adventure or action. Sure, there was a little bit of action, but it wasn’t often or as dramatic.
It was good, but nothing compared to the first one.
