Sadly GR crashed again and deleted my long review and summary.

Bottom line: there’s a lot of action but the plot doesn’t move forward. This is nothing like what is advertised. You can’t have a Mr & Mrs Smith IF the husband is murdered in the first few pages. The only thing this book has in common with The Fugitive is that both characters are suspected of killing their spouse.

The writing is also very dull and repetitive. Just now many times does her wound need to be discussed and described? Plus if she’s hurt… how is she jumping over walls and evading the police? The MC also has some rather dumb thoughts. I don’t like her and I could care less about her dead husband.

SUMMARY: Jack and her husband break into corporations on hire to test their security. Hubby is the brains (hacker) and Jack is the muscle doing the physical B&e.

On their latest “job” unplanned events happen which should give them both alarm but Jack writes it off as good luck and her talent. Jack is then apprehended by security in the job and (womp womp) the person who hired her is not answering and neither is her husband so she ends up in jail.

No worries though as her stalker-ex-boyfriend is a cop and miraculously is working AND working at the very place she’s at! He confirms her story and she’s free. Once home, Jack finds her husband has been murdered. That must be why he didn’t answer his phone! Unfortunately for Jack, the police suspect her… this leads to Jack running.

At 55% Jack has been running from the police non step, changing her hair etc but has made almost no progress on finding her husbands killer. I’m so bored.
