i wish that it were aliens driving men to violate and become violent towards women, but the truth is that it happens in this world as it is without a single lick of an extraterrestrial's influence, and that's fucked up.
reading this, i've been horrifyingly reminded over and over how these femicides could and are happening right now in parts of the world, and it's being glossed over, it's being silenced and ignored, and we do not have any excuse to point the finger at anybody (or anything/anycreature) but our own mankind.
