Rushing the Goal
by Toni Aleo
I am having a hard time enjoying this series the way I liked it before.
I relistened to a few of the first books and enjoyed them, but I forgot about the drama for the sake of drama.
I wanted to catch up on the series so I listened to 3 -6 hours of the other books so I had all the characters fresh in my head when I started this book.
Overall this book was good but the drama of Lucy’s ex and how he manipulated his daughter and all the pedophile stuff just left a bad taste in my mouth. Like did we really need all that? No the story stood alone without all that.
I just don’t understand how every character has to have this tragic past or they can’t co-parent, I wonder if it’s just for the drama.
I am going to keep going with the series because I really want to finish it.
The narration was ok. She just sounds older than these characters though.
