This was so great and I agree with Karin it’s a respectful story about violence against women(respectful to the victims imo). And doesn’t directly point at the #metoo movement but definitely dances around the issues with the assumptions people have when violence is done to women and especially when women report/don’t report that violence. For example: there’s an exchange in the book that the gist is ‘well she doesn’t look like a woman who would be raped’ WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE?!?!? how can you say that. Rape/sexual assault can happen to any one…. Any who. I liked the book. 

-book: “please note this book is a work of fiction. I have taken some liberties with the timeline.”
Me: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!?!? What am I getting into?!!?
-cell phones get into prison sure. and charges too. But… where are they charging these phones??? There’s no way there’s an outlet in their cell… right??

Me: YEAAA. JEFF. YOURE AN IDIOT. I can’t abide cheaters. The divorce was 100% your fault. Nah he’s def a piece of shit. But that doesn’t mean he got involved in the cover up but the dept …. Will be sad if he is involved

-if that child is Becky’s by rape….. I’ll lose it
-this book is a great example of #metoo Jeffrey mad at Sarah for not making a victim report it. “Which of your officers would have handled her case how it should have been?!!?” Exactly. And saying the victim in the hospital isn’t the kind of girl that would get raped.

-all these cops are sus. Nick. Frank. I don’t trust either. I think Jeffrey is the only one I would trust.

-Leslie truong feels to fast after Becky… idk what Sarah feels weird about for her. But that’s my thought. … obvs. lol no one is reading this but me.
