As much as I enjoyed this, it is still essentially a telenovela in printed form with all the attendant dramatic reveals and subplots and the incessant obsession of the males with the females, breasts and Fermin leaving bruised buttocks behind him, entirely normalised as that's just how Spanish men are. Gross.
