This is a heartwarming short story about how Jamaal and Leila met. Jamaal, a Jamaican living in New York City, asks Leila, a cop, to help him win a street fight to provide for his family. He uses Capoeira--a fighting style low to the ground and similar to dancing--while Leila uses Kung Fu. I highly recommend reading the Phoenix trilogy to get the full picture of Jamaal and Leila and how they complement each other's abilities and personalities.
