The audiobook for this was a work of art. The narrator had the perfect voice and tone to portray Dracula’s wife across the centuries of their relationship with each other and the additions to their family. It was dark and toxic and compelling from start to finish. There were times that were incredibly uncomfortable and I didn’t always like where the story headed, but I think that’s the point. This book is monstrous and poetic in all the ways that call back to the genre.
