Made to Be Broken (Nadia Stafford #2) Kelley Armstrong
Date Read: 10 March 2024
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3.75 maybe?)
Book 2 of the Nadia Stafford series and we pick up shortly after the first book ends.
Things get started off at a weird pace, but things level out once we get to the main plot point.
Again, Nadia is fine, Jack is….the strong quiet type, Evelyn is manipulative, and Quinn….well….he annoys the shit out of me.
The story line in this one is more of a “we stumbled onto a mystery and now I’m obsessed and have to solve it” situation. One of Nadia’s employees - a young, new mother - goes missing along with her baby. Did she run away? Or was there something darker happening? As soon as they started investigating, you could kind of tell where things were going, so a bit predictable…but it moved along faster than the 1st book so that was nice.
