I hesitated to read this because I knew how much of a commitment it would be. It has never taken me this long to finish a book, but it was well worth it! I was surprised at how touching the story was, and had to stop and cry at least three times. So thanks for that, Tolstoy. There are also some philosophical tangents and lengthy descriptions of war strategy that can be difficult to get through.
