Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow … if this is on your bookshelf or on your tbr, don’t wait until tomorrow, read it today :)

It starts off seeming to be a cozy read about two unlikely friends making super successful games together, but actually this book was so much more. It was a deep dive into the world of chronic pain, the dynamics between opposite gendered friendships, and a workshop into the pressures of success. There were a couple of moments which had me on the verge of tears and a few plot twists / shocking revelations that added interest to a slow paced book. The main characters were tangible and relatable to the point where the story lent more autobiographical than fictional which was a testament to the dimensions Zevin created. I was also ecstatic but the amount of new words I learnt, Gabrielle really dropped some zingers in there so casually as if I had any clue 😂

I think the thing I most enjoyed about the story was how Zevin let us as readers spend time being frustrated with the flaws of the characters, their miscommunications, their insecurities instead of fixing everything with a few lines of dialogue or monologue. There was something raw and relatable about the character study and created characters that I would love to come back to.

In all for me this was a 5⭐️ read
