A very cozy, small town, billionaire romance with a touch of suspense that worked nicely.
Hudson is a lonely bachelor raising his young son who just happened to be in the right place at the right time and saved Lacy’s life in the previous book (Tanner) and now he can’t stop thinking about her even though she never returns his texts.
Lacy is dealing with a lot and has no room in her life for dating until Hudson sweeps in and takes a great deal off her plate and shoulders and then proceeds to sweep her off her feet. Again, their relationship is just too easy, how can you not fall for the dashing guy who buys whatever you want and needs and says all the right things all the time? What choice did she have/ what else could she have been waiting for?
The relationship was sweet, the banter funny, the dates were thoughtful if a bit over the top. I feel like money took the struggle out of the relationship building. Maybe struggle isn’t swooney. All in all it was fine, fun and flirty- it just won’t stand out over the many others like it out there.
