Bloody Bones by Laurell K. Hamilton

3.0

Warnings: The killer is a pedophile, goats are killed. (terribly!)

I was glad that Richard wasn't in the book much, so I didn't have to put up with her love triangle.

After last book's lack of Necromancy powers, I'm glad that they were more the focus this time.

Most of the good I've already mentioned in other reviews, so this sounds more negative than it was. I'm still entertained by this series and the way Anita tells it.

The Bad:

Stupid Larry is back. Is it bad that I keep wishing he'd die?

I miss RPIT! All of the cops, feds, sheriffs in this one are terrible!

I hated the whole Anita might be sued thing. There's enough downer in these books already. They need to be fun like at the beginning!

The case is rather icky. Just vampire killings, but the vampire is a pedophile. All of the local vampires (except JC of course) were gross and creepy. And I thought the vamps in book one were bad!

Not much of a mystery in this one and the plot was all pretty simple. No complex bad guys here. Everyone just wants power.

The sacrifice of the goats part bothered me. I totally had to skip it!

The ending was a bit of a downer.
SpoilerNo victims were saved. She's still being sued. At least all the bad guys are dead?
