I'm not one to shy away from smut but this book was a lot. From what I read, I can only assume that the rest of the book would have been the book is all smut and a sprinkle of plot. I like to read fantasy romances but need more substance to keep my attention. Another thing that drove me nuts was that the main character had so many mates. I get one mate, maybe two but after she had a fourth mate join their group I was finding the whole situation a bit ridiculous. I feel like if the story was more fleshed out and less smut the mate situation would not feel so crazy to me. I felt like the authors added more and more mates just so they had the opportunity to write more smut. I just couldn't continue reading this book.
