Cresent City starts off slow introducing a lot of different characters to the point I had a notepad in my phone full names (first and last) and what race they were (wolf shifter, Angel, Fae, Mer, etc), what their powers were and what their relationship was to other characters and the MFC. I promise you if you get through the first few chapters you'll be forever thankful. This story was shrouded in mystery as the MFC and MMC investigated the cold case. As they learn things about each other and develope an understanding of each other on a deeper level. Chapters 70 onwards are where things really take off and things speed up. They had me up to midnight, on a weekday, unable to put this book down. The ended was so unexpected. I was sobbing, laughing, kicking my feet and clutching my heart as I felt it breaking. By far one of my favourite reads. Highly recommend if you enjoy slow burns, mysteries, action and stories about deep friendships.
I read the book but I also listened to parts 1 and 2 of GraphicAudios dramatised version of this book. Highly recommend.
