The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes

5.0

In 1930's Kentucky the WPA pack horse librarians made a difference in peoples lives. They spread hope, information, literacy, and more than a few recipes. After hearing the Kitchen Sisters podcast outline these brave women's service to their communities, I knew there were great stories to be had there. Jojo Moyes integrates her research and the lives to the librarians seamlessly and without info-dumping. You simply see the course of a relationship gone wrong and redemption in more than one life as the pages pass in atmospheric ease.
