Gnome Is Where Your Heart Is by Casey Lyall

4.0

Thank you, Netgalley and Casey Lyall, for the ARC. I leave this review voluntarily and happily. Also, thank you to the publishers for your hard work!

This was such a great book. It was full of laughter, some sadness, quirks and overall just a good time. A grandfather with alzheimer's disease believes he saw an alien and a spacecraft when he was younger. He tells the story over and over, becoming the laughing stock of the town. His granddaughter believes him completely and does whatever she possibly can to prove he's right. Is he telling the truth? That's for you to find out.

This story is such a read, and I had a hard time putting it down. I felt connected to Lemon and her drive to prove her grandfather was telling the truth. No one believed in him but her. The emotions you feel as the story progresses are genuine. Not only that, there is also a bit of a mystery involved.

The more you read, the more you realize there's actually a villain. Who's the bad guy? Is it really the person of interest or the one pointing fingers? That's up to you. With everything combined, this book as a whole is a heartfelt read. I'm so glad I was able to read it.
